1	House Resolution
2	A resolution recognizing the 2009 Miramar High School
3	Football Team, winners of the Florida High School Athletic
4	Association Class 6A State Championship.

6	WHEREAS, with commitment, determination, and hard work, the
7	2009 Miramar High School Football Team won the Florida High
8	School Athletic Association Class 6A State Championship on
9	December 19, 2009, at the Florida Citrus Bowl by beating DeLand
10	High School by a score of 42 to 20, and
11	WHEREAS, claiming the State Championship title, the 2009
12	Miramar High School Football Team finished the season with a 14-
13	1 record, and
14	WHEREAS, led by Head Coach Damon Cogdell, the 2009 Miramar
15	High School Football Team consistently demonstrated outstanding
16	skill, sportsmanship, and competitiveness throughout their
17	remarkable season, and
18	WHEREAS, the 2009 championship marks the first Florida High
19	School Athletic Association State Championship for the Miramar
20	High School Football Team and the first Class 6A State
21	Championship for a Broward County team, and
22	WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the 2009 Miramar High
23	School Football Team is applauded for the historic
24	accomplishments of its players and coaches and for the team's
25	contributions to both student athletics and the community, NOW,
26	THEREFORE,

28	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
29	Florida:

31	That the Florida House of Representatives honors the 2009
32	Miramar High School Football Team for their outstanding record
33	and for winning the 2009 Florida High School Athletic
34	Association Class 6A State Championship.
35	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
36	presented to the 2009 Miramar High School Football Team as a
37	tangible token of the sentiments expressed herein.
