HB 4021

1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to adultery, cohabitation, and lewd
3	and lascivious behavior; repealing s. 798.01, F.S.,
4	relating to living in open adultery; amending s.
5	798.02, F.S.; deleting language that made a
6	prohibition on couples lewdly and lasciviously
7	associating and cohabiting together a part of a
8	prohibition of lewd and lascivious behavior; providing
9	an effective date.

11	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13	Section 1.  Section 798.01, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
14	Section 2.  Section 798.02, Florida Statutes, is amended to
15	read:
16	798.02  Lewd and lascivious behavior.-If Any man and woman,
17	not being married to each other, lewdly and lasciviously
18	associate and cohabit together, or if any man or woman, married
19	or unmarried, who engage engages in open and gross lewdness and
20	lascivious behavior with each other each commit, they shall be
21	guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as
22	provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
23	Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
