HB 1413

1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the Department of Veterans' Affairs;
3	directing the department to provide a plan and financial
4	analysis by a certain date to the Governor, Cabinet, and
5	Legislature regarding the transfer of the operations of
6	the department's veterans' homes to a public corporation;
7	providing an effective date.

9	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11	Section 1.  By February 1, 2012, the Department of
12	Veterans' Affairs shall provide to the Governor and Cabinet, the
13	President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of
14	Representatives a business and implementation plan, along with a
15	financial analysis, to transfer the operations of the state's
16	veterans' homes to a public corporation. The department may
17	procure the necessary expertise to prepare the plan and
18	financial analysis.
19	Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
