A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to public school food service enhancement;
3creating s. 1006.0608, F.S.; authorizing a district school
4board to enter into a contract for the sale of naming
5rights for a public school cafeteria; providing for use of
6revenue generated by a contract for sale; providing an
7effective date.

9Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11     Section 1.  Section 1006.0608, Florida Statutes, is created
12to read:
13     1006.0608  Student nutrition enhancement.-
14     (1)  This section may be cited as the "Student Nutrition
15Enhancement Act."
16     (2)  Each district school board may sell the naming rights
17for a public school cafeteria through a contract for sale. The
18requirements pertaining to a contract for sale and name display
19shall be established by the district school board. Revenue
20generated by a contract for sale shall be used by the district
21school board to enhance the school district's school food
22service budget and to meet the nutritional needs of students.
23     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
