1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the regulation of smoking; amending s.
3	386.209, F.S.; authorizing school districts to restrict
4	smoking on school district property; providing an
5	effective date.

7	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

9	Section 1.  Section 386.209, Florida Statutes, is amended
10	to read:
11	386.209  Regulation of smoking preempted to state.-This
12	part expressly preempts regulation of smoking to the state and
13	supersedes any municipal or county ordinance on the subject;
14	however, school districts may further restrict smoking by
15	persons on school district property.
16	Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
