1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to designation of state transportation
3	facilities; providing honorary designations of various
4	transportation facilities in specified counties;
5	amending ss. 24 and 45, ch. 2010-230, Laws of Florida;
6	revising certain designations in Miami-Dade County;
7	directing the Department of Transportation to erect
8	suitable markers; providing an effective date.

10	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12	Section 1.  Edna S. Hargrett-Thrower Avenue designated;
13	Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
14	(1)  That portion of Orange Blossom Trail between W. Gore
15	Street and W. Church Street in Orange County is designated as
16	"Edna S. Hargrett-Thrower Avenue."
17	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
18	suitable markers designating Edna S. Hargrett-Thrower Avenue as
19	described in subsection (1).
20	Section 2.  SP4 Thomas Berry Corbin Memorial Highway
21	designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
22	markers.-
23	(1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 19/27A/98/State Road 55
24	between the Suwannee River Bridge and N.E. 592nd Street/Chavous
25	Road/Kate Green Road in Dixie County is designated as "SP4
26	Thomas Berry Corbin Memorial Highway."
27	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
28	suitable markers designating SP4 Thomas Berry Corbin Memorial
29	Highway as described in subsection (1).
30	Section 3.  U.S. Navy BMC Samuel Calhoun Chavous, Jr.
31	Memorial Highway designated; Department of Transportation to
32	erect suitable markers.-
33	(1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 19/98/State Road 55
34	between N.E. 592nd Street/Chavous Road/Kate Green Road and N.E.
35	170th Street in Dixie County is designated as "U.S. Navy BMC
36	Samuel Calhoun Chavous, Jr. Memorial Highway."
37	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
38	suitable markers designating U.S. Navy BMC Samuel Calhoun
39	Chavous, Jr. Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
40	Section 4.  Marine Lance Corporal Brian R. Buesing Memorial
41	Highway designated; Department of Transportation to erect
42	suitable markers.-
43	(1)  That portion of State Road 24 between County Road 347
44	and Bridge Number 340053 in Levy County is designated as "Marine
45	Lance Corporal Brian R. Buesing Memorial Highway."
46	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
47	suitable markers designating Marine Lance Corporal Brian R.
48	Buesing Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
49	Section 5.  United States Army Sergeant Karl A. Campbell
50	Memorial Highway designated; Department of Transportation to
51	erect suitable markers.-
52	(1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 19/98/State Road 55/S.
53	Main Street between N.W. 1st Avenue and S.E. 2nd Avenue in Levy
54	County is designated as "United States Army Sergeant Karl A.
55	Campbell Memorial Highway."
56	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
57	suitable markers designating United States Army Sergeant Karl A.
58	Campbell Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
59	Section 6.  U.S. Army SPC James A. Page Memorial Highway
60	designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
61	markers.-
62	(1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 27A/State Road
63	500/Hathaway Avenue between State Road 24/Thrasher Drive and
64	Town Court in Levy County is designated as "U.S. Army SPC James
65	A. Page Memorial Highway."
66	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
67	suitable markers designating U.S. Army SPC James A. Page
68	Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
69	Section 7.  Veterans Memorial Highway designated;
70	Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
71	(1)  That portion of State Road 19 between U.S. Highway
72	17/State Road 15 and Carriage Drive in the City of Palatka in
73	Putnam County is designated as "Veterans Memorial Highway."
74	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
75	suitable markers designating Veterans Memorial Highway as
76	described in subsection (1).
77	Section 8.  Ben G. Watts Highway designated; Department of
78	Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
79	(1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 90 in Washington County
80	between the Jackson County line and the Holmes County line at
81	the Holmes Creek Bridge is designated as "Ben G. Watts Highway."
82	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
83	suitable markers designating Ben G. Watts Highway as described
84	in subsection (1).
85	Section 9.  Mardi Gras Way designated; Department of
86	Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
87	(1)  That portion of State Road 824 between Interstate 95
88	and U.S. Highway 1 in Broward County is designated as "Mardi
89	Gras Way."
90	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
91	suitable markers designating Mardi Gras Way as described in
92	subsection (1).
93	Section 10.  West Park Boulevard designated; Department of
94	Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
95	(1)  That portion of State Road 7 between Pembroke Road and
96	County Line Road in Broward County is designated as "West Park
97	Boulevard."
98	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
99	suitable markers designating West Park Boulevard as described in
100	subsection (1).
101	Section 11.  Pembroke Park Boulevard designated; Department
102	of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
103	(1)  That portion of State Road 858/Hallandale Beach
104	Boulevard between Interstate 95 and U.S. Highway 441/State Road
105	7 in Broward County is designated as "Pembroke Park Boulevard."
106	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
107	suitable markers designating Pembroke Park Boulevard as
108	described in subsection (1).
109	Section 12.  Stark Memorial Drive designated; Department of
110	Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
111	(1)  That portion of State Road 101/Mayport Road between
112	State Road A1A and Wonderwood Connector in Duval County is
113	designated as "Stark Memorial Drive."
114	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
115	suitable markers designating Stark Memorial Drive as described
116	in subsection (1).
117	Section 13.  Duval County Law Enforcement Memorial Overpass
118	designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
119	markers.-
120	(1)  The Interstate 295/State Road 9A overpass (Bridge
121	Numbers 720256 and 720347) over Interstate 10/State Road 8 in
122	Duval County is designated as "Duval County Law Enforcement
123	Memorial Overpass."
124	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
125	suitable markers designating Duval County Law Enforcement
126	Memorial Overpass as described in subsection (1).
127	Section 14.  Verna Bell Way designated; Department of
128	Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
129	(1)  That portion of State Road 200 between Lime Street and
130	Beech Street in the City of Fernandina Beach in Nassau County is
131	designated as "Verna Bell Way."
132	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
133	suitable markers designating Verna Bell Way as described in
134	subsection (1).
135	Section 15.  Deputy Hal P. Croft and Deputy Ronald Jackson
136	Memorial Highway designated; Department of Transportation to
137	erect suitable markers.-
138	(1)  That portion of State Road 100 East in Union County
139	between the Bradford County line and the Columbia County line is
140	designated as "Deputy Hal P. Croft and Deputy Ronald Jackson
141	Memorial Highway."
142	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
143	suitable markers designating Deputy Hal P. Croft and Deputy
144	Ronald Jackson Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).
145	Section 16.  Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet Boulevard designated;
146	Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
147	(1)  That portion of Coral Way between S.W. 32nd Avenue and
148	S.W. 37th Avenue in Miami-Dade County is designated as "Dr.
149	Oscar Elias Biscet Boulevard."
150	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
151	suitable markers designating Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet Boulevard as
152	described in subsection (1).
153	Section 17.  Hugh Anderson Boulevard designated; Department
154	of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
155	(1)  That portion of Biscayne Boulevard between N.E. 88th
156	Street and N.E. 105th Street in Miami Shores Village in Miami-
157	Dade County is designated as "Hugh Anderson Boulevard."
158	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
159	suitable markers designating Hugh Anderson Boulevard as
160	described in subsection (1).
161	Section 18.  Palmetto General Hospital Way designated;
162	Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
163	(1)  That portion of W. 20th Avenue between W. 68th Street
164	and W. 73rd Street in Miami-Dade County is designated as
165	"Palmetto General Hospital Way."
166	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
167	suitable markers designating Palmetto General Hospital Way as
168	described in subsection (1).
169	Section 19.  Alma Lee Loy Bridge designated; Department of
170	Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
171	(1)  The bridge on State Road 656 between State Road A1A
172	and Indian River Boulevard in the City of Vero Beach in Indian
173	River County is designated as "Alma Lee Loy Bridge."
174	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
175	suitable markers designating Alma Lee Loy Bridge as described in
176	subsection (1).
177	Section 20.  Samuel B. Love Memorial Highway designated;
178	Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
179	(1)  That portion of Sunset Harbor Road between S.E. 105th
180	Avenue and S.E. 115th Avenue in Marion County is designated as
181	"Samuel B. Love Memorial Highway."
182	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
183	suitable markers designating Samuel B. Love Memorial Highway as
184	described in subsection (1).
185	Section 21.  Section 24 of chapter 2010-230, Laws of
186	Florida, is amended to read:
187	Section 24.  Miss Lillie Williams Boulevard designated;
188	Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
189	(1)  That portion of N.W. 79th Street between N.W. 6th
190	Avenue and N.W. 7th E. 12th Avenue in Miami-Dade County is
191	designated as "Miss Lillie Williams Boulevard."
192	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
193	suitable markers designating Miss Lillie Williams Boulevard as
194	described in subsection (1).
195	Section 22.  Section 45 of chapter 2010-230, Laws of
196	Florida, is amended to read:
197	Section 45.  Father Gerard Jean-Juste Street designated;
198	Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.-
199	(1)  That portion of N.W. 54th Street in Miami-Dade County
200	between N.W. 2nd Avenue and N.E. N.W. 3rd Avenue in Little Haiti
201	is designated "Father Gerard Jean-Juste Street."
202	(2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
203	suitable markers designating Father Gerard Jean-Juste Street as
204	described in subsection (1).
205	Section 23.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2012.
