       The Committee on Appropriations (Bean) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 686 and 687
    4  insert:
    5         Section 3. Paragraph (p) of subsection (2) of section
    6  1012.05, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         1012.05 Teacher recruitment and retention.—
    8         (2) The Department of Education shall:
    9         (p) The Department of Education shall Notify each teacher,
   10  via e-mail, of each item in the General Appropriations Act and
   11  legislation that affects teachers, including, but not limited
   12  to, the Excellent Teaching Program, the Florida Teachers
   13  Classroom Supply Assistance Lead Program, liability insurance
   14  protection for teachers, death benefits for teachers,
   15  substantive legislation, rules of the State Board of Education,
   16  and issues concerning student achievement.

   19         And the title is amended as follows:
   20         Delete line 36
   21  and insert:
   22         field experiences; amending s. 1012.05, F.S.;
   23         conforming provisions to changes made by the act;
