       The Committee on Health Policy (Perry) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (422752) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 24 - 30
    4  and insert:
    5  as defined in s. 395.002, before providing anesthesia or
    6  ordering, administering, dispensing, or prescribing an opioid
    7  drug listed as a Schedule II controlled substance in s. 893.03
    8  or 21 U.S.C. s. 812 for the treatment of pain, a health care
    9  practitioner shall:
   10         1.Inform the patient of available nonopioid alternatives
   11  for the treatment of pain, which may include nonopioid medicinal
   12  drugs or drug products, interventional procedures or treatments,
   13  acupuncture, chiropractic treatments,
