       The Committee on Appropriations (Gardiner) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 150 - 156
    4  and insert:
    5         5. Supporting access to capital for business investment and
    6  expansion. Such activities include providing technical
    7  assistance relating to obtaining surety bonds; identifying and
    8  assessing potential debt or equity investors or other financing
    9  opportunities; assisting in the preparation of applications,
   10  projections, or pro forma or other support documentation for
   11  surety bond, loan, financing, or investment requests; and
   12  facilitating conferences with lenders or investors.
