       The Committee on Judiciary (Steube) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 58 - 66
    4  and insert:
    5         3. Requested, by means of a toll-free telephone call or
    6  other electronic means, the Department of Law Enforcement to
    7  conduct a check of the information as reported and reflected in
    8  the Florida Crime information as reported and reflected in the
    9  Florida Crime Information Center and National Crime Information
   10  Center systems as of the date of the request.
   11         4. Received a unique approval number for that inquiry from
   12  the Department of Law Enforcement, and recorded the date and
   13  such number on the consent form.
   14         Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2018.
