       The Committee on Community Affairs (Bradley) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete line 272
    4  and insert:
    5  employment with the state or any of its political subdivisions
    6  which the public officer knows, or, with the exercise of
    7  reasonable care, should know, is primarily established and
    8  compensated by the employer for the purpose of gaining influence
    9  or other advantage based on the public officer’s elective office
   10  or candidacy.
