SENATE BILL NO. 255

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 31 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE FOOD STAMP PROGRAM.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1.Amend §605, Title 31 of the Delaware Code, by deleting the designation "(a)", replacing the"," after "convictions" with a "." and deleting the balance of the Section 605(a)(1)(5).

Section 2.Amend §605 Title 31 of the Delaware Code, in the first sentence by inserting the word "distribution," between "possession" and "or"

Section 3.Amend §605, Title 31 of the Delaware Code, by deleting the designation "(b)".


SYNOPSIS

This Bill removes the prohibition against persons convicted of any drug felony from receiving federal food benefit assistance.
