HOUSE BILL NO. 345

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SCHOOL CURRICULUM AND WORLD LANGUAGES.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1. Amend Title 14 of the Delaware Code by inserting a new §4135 to read as follows:

"§4135 American Sign Language

American Sign Language shall be recognized as and considered a World Language for purposes of school curriculum and any course of instruction, involving any school district or public school in the State of Delaware.".


SYNOPSIS

This bill recognized American Sign Language as a World Language for purposes of school curriculum.
