Summary

This Bill brings Delaware’s unemployment insurance law into compliance with federal law, Public Law 112-40, which requires that an employer’s unemployment insurance tax account cannot be relieved of charges for an unemployment insurance claim if the employer or the employer’s agent fails to provide the Department of Labor specified information in a timely manner or provides inadequate information for the Department to make a determination of eligibility and as a result, unemployment insurance benefits are erroneously paid to an individual.
