Summary

As introduced Bill 23-490 requires the Chief Financial Officer to approve or deny an application for pre-approval of certain homestead deduction, senior and disabled tax relief deductions, or exemptions for qualifying lower income homeownership households, within two weeks after receiving the application. It modifies the requirements to qualify as a lower income homeownership household and requires that income thresholds be based on federal adjusted gross income. It provides for clarified audit and collection procedures among other things.
