(RE-REFERRED) (CORRECTION) The Chairman is referring this legislation sequentially: Sections 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8 to the Committee on Business and Economic Development, and then to the Committee of the Whole. Sections 4, 5, 11 to the Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety and then to the Committee of the Whole. The rest of the bill, including sections 9 & 10 to the Committee of the Whole. As introduced it creates a regulatory scheme for the cultivation, manufacture, distribution, and sale of marijuana and marijuana produces sold for non-medical use in the District. It renames the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration to the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administrations (ABCA) and gives it the authority to regulate and license the sale, use, distribution, and cultivation of marijuana in the District.
