Summary

As introduced, this bill exempts Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) from corporate taxes and taxes on the corporation's real and personal property, income, and transactions. Exemptions include sales, use, franchise, receipts, income, person property, real property, and excise taxes. The bill specifies that BID corporations are not exempted from employment or withholding taxes and includes a provision providing for the forgiveness of certain unpaid taxes dating back to May 29, 1996.
