AN ACT CONCERNING PERSONS WHO ASSIST OTHERS IN REGISTERING AS ELECTORS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 143 of the general statutes be amended to require that any person, as defined in section 9-601 of the general statutes, who assists one or more persons in registering to be an elector and who is not a voter registration agency, as defined in section 9-23n of the general statutes, shall file a statement with the Secretary of the State declaring such provision of assistance in elector registration.

Statement of Purpose:

To require that persons who assist others in registering to vote shall file a statement with the Secretary of the State.
