AN ACT CONCERNING PENALTIES FOR "BLOCKING THE BOX".

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to authorize municipalities to enact ordinances banning "blocking the box" and to impose fines not exceeding one hundred dollars for a violation of such ordinances.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow municipalities to assess a fine for impeding traffic flow, and to promote safer and more expedient traffic flow.
