AN ACT CONCERNING FALSE REPORTS OF CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 319a of the general statutes be amended to provide that, upon three unsubstantiated reports of child abuse or neglect, the person making the report may be investigated for abusing the system and may be subject to enhanced penalties and be liable for civil damages.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide for the investigation and liability of persons who make repeated false reports of child abuse or neglect.
