AN ACT CONCERNING RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT THE ABLE ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 3-39k of the general statutes be amended to require the State Treasurer, in consultation with the Banking Commissioner and the Commissioner of Rehabilitation Services, to develop a public awareness campaign to inform families of the opportunity to create a tax-free account administered by the state to cover qualified disability expenses for eligible family members.

Statement of Purpose:

To educate the families of persons with disabilities about the benefits of the ABLE Act.
