AN ACT PERMITTING SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO DELAY FOR ONE YEAR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STUDENT DATA PRIVACY ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education to delay implementation of the provisions of public act 16-189 until July 1, 2018.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow school districts to delay for one year the implementation of the provisions of public act 16-189 relating to student data privacy.
