AN ACT CONCERNING THE THRESHOLD TRIGGERING AN AUTOMATIC RECOUNT OF VOTES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-311a of the general statutes be amended to provide that the threshold for state-wide automatic recounts in closely contested elections be lowered to a three-thousand-vote difference.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that any state-wide election decided by fewer than three thousand votes be subject to an automatic recount.
