AN ACT REQUIRING RECIPIENTS OF FUNDING UNDER THE FIRST FIVE PLUS PROGRAM TO RECRUIT AND HIRE FORMER INMATES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 32-4l of the general statutes be amended to require any recipient of funding under the first five plus program to recruit and hire former inmates released from the custody of the Commissioner of Correction.

Statement of Purpose:

To spur employment of released inmates to allow them a second chance.
