AN ACT REESTABLISHING THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE OFFICE OF STATE ETHICS, STATE ELECTIONS ENFORCEMENT COMMISSION AND FREEDOM OF INFORMATION COMMISSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to remove the Office of State Ethics, the State Elections Enforcement Commission and the Freedom of Information Commission from the Office of Government Accountability and to reestablish them as independent agencies.
Statement of Purpose:
To reestablish the independence of the Office of State Ethics, State Elections Enforcement Commission and Freedom of Information Commission.
