AN ACT CONCERNING A SALES TAX EXEMPTION FOR CERTAIN CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 12-412 of the general statutes be amended to restore the sales tax exemption for clothing and footwear costing less than fifty dollars.

Statement of Purpose:

To exempt basic articles of clothing and footwear from the state sales tax.
