AN ACT CONCERNING A LOAN FORGIVENESS PROGRAM FOR MEDICAL SCHOOL GRADUATES WHO LIVE AND WORK IN CONNECTICUT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 368a of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Health, in consultation with the Board of Governors of Higher Education, to develop a loan forgiveness program for medical school graduates who live and work in Connecticut for at least three years after obtaining their medical degrees.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a loan forgiveness program for medical school graduates who live and work in Connecticut for at least three years after graduation.
