AN ACT EXCLUDING HEALTH CARE AND PENSION BENEFITS FROM COLLECTIVE BARGAINING FOR STATE EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 68 of the general statutes be amended to exclude, on and after July 1, 2022, health care and pension benefits for state employees and retirees from collective bargaining so that such benefits may be determined by the General Assembly.

Statement of Purpose:

To restore legislative authority and accountability with regard to state employee health and pension benefits and bring Connecticut into alignment with most other states.
