AN ACT AUTHORIZING ESTABLISHMENT OF LOW-PROFIT LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 34 of the general statutes be amended to authorize establishment of low-profit limited liability companies as taxable for-profit businesses with the stated goal of performing a socially beneficial purpose, as opposed to maximizing income.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide for the establishment of low-profit limited liability companies (L3Cs) in the state.
