AN ACT CONCERNING CONSENT TO CHIROPRACTIC CERVICAL SPINE TREATMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 372 of the general statutes be amended to require that a chiropractor obtain informed written consent from a patient prior to performing any procedure involving treatment of the patient's cervical spine. Such informed consent shall include information on the risks and possible side effects of such treatment, including the risk of chiropractic stroke.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a chiropractor to obtain informed written consent from a patient prior to performing a procedure involving treatment of the patient's cervical spine.
