AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE AMBER AND SILVER ALERT SYSTEMS REGARDING MISSING CHILDREN BETWEEN FIFTEEN AND SEVENTEEN YEARS OF AGE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection study the use and effectiveness of the amber and silver alert systems when the missing child is between fifteen years of age and seventeen years of age, make recommendations regarding improvements to such alert systems and submit a report based on such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public safety.

Statement of Purpose:

To study the use and effectiveness of the amber and silver alert systems when the missing child is between fifteen and seventeen years of age.
