AN ACT PROHIBITING THE AWARD OF RISK REDUCTION CREDIT TOWARD A REDUCTION IN SENTENCE FOR A CRIME COMMITTED WITH A FIREARM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 18-98e of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any person sentenced for a crime that involved the use of a firearm from earning risk reduction credit toward a reduction in such person's sentence.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit any person sentenced for a crime that involved the use of a firearm from earning risk reduction credit toward a reduction in such person's sentence.
