AN ACT CONCERNING THE SHARING OF TRAFFIC STOP INFORMATION WITH THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 54-1m of the general statutes be amended to require that traffic stop information received by the Office of Policy and Management and the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection pursuant to said section shall be shared with and reviewed by the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public safety.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that the General Assembly is fully apprised of the traffic stop information that is being supplied to the state's executive branch agencies.
