AN ACT CONCERNING TRIALS IN ACTIONS INVOLVING ALLEGED DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 814c of the general statutes be amended to provide that when an employee brings an action in the Superior Court based on an alleged discriminatory practice, such action may be claimed for a trial before a judge or a jury.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide an employee with the option of having a bench trial or jury trial in any matter based on an alleged discriminatory practice of the employer.
