AN ACT CONCERNING QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTORS OF HEALTH.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 19a-200 of the general statutes be amended to allow a person having experience in public safety to be nominated as a city, borough or town director of health.

Statement of Purpose:

To recognize the importance of public safety in local health departments by allowing a person with public safety experience to be nominated as a director of health.
