AN ACT CONCERNING A PHASE-OUT OF THE TAX ON THE NET PATIENT REVENUE OF HOSPITALS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (a) of section 12-263b of the general statutes be amended to phase out over five years, beginning July 1, 2015, the tax on the net patient revenue of hospitals in this state.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce the cost of health care in Connecticut, improve access to services and retain jobs.
