AN ACT CONCERNING THE NUMBER OF POLLING PLACES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to permit municipalities with populations smaller than one hundred thousand persons to reduce the number of polling places, at the discretion of the municipality, for certain elections.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide financial relief to towns by allowing them to have fewer polling places for certain lower turnout elections.
