AN ACT CONCERNING PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENTS FOR THE CHILDREN OF FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that when a municipality voluntarily grants a property tax abatement to the children of fallen firefighters or police officers, the state shall reimburse such municipality for fifty per cent of the cost of such abatement.
Statement of Purpose:
To partially reimburse cities and towns that voluntarily grant property tax abatements to children of fallen firefighters and police officers.
