AN ACT CONCERNING THE STORAGE OF UNCLAIMED POSSESSIONS AND PERSONAL EFFECTS OF EVICTED TENANTS AND OCCUPANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 47a-42 of the general statutes be amended to repeal the mandate that municipalities shall incur the cost of storage of the unclaimed possessions and personal effects of an evicted tenant or occupant.
Statement of Purpose:
To alleviate the burden on municipalities to incur the costs of storage of unclaimed possessions and personal effects of evicted persons.
