AN ACT CONCERNING APPROPRIATIONS TO LEVEL 1 TRAUMA HOSPITALS FOR IMPROVED TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the sum of ___ dollars be appropriated to the Department of Public Health, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012, for the development of interactive, evidence-based treatment guidelines for traumatic brain injury patients.
Statement of Purpose:
To: (1) Reduce patient mortality and improve patient level of recovery following traumatic brain injury; and (2) reduce the state's long-term care costs for such patients.
