AN ACT CONCERNING AN INCOME TAX DEDUCTION FOR LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE PREMIUMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to provide a taxpayer with a deduction from Connecticut adjusted gross income under the personal income tax equal to the amount paid by the taxpayer for long-term care insurance premiums.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide a personal income tax deduction for the amount paid for long-term care insurance premiums.
