AN ACT CONCERNING CRIMINAL LIABILITY IN THE CASE OF A DRUG OVERDOSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to provide that a person selling illegal drugs that result in a fatal overdose may be charged with manslaughter.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the penalty for drug dealers providing fatal overdoses.
