AN ACT FACILITATING AGING IN PLACE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 8 of the general statutes be amended to allow municipalities to facilitate and provide incentives for the construction of in-law apartments and other structural modifications to allow senior citizens to age in place at home.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage senior citizens to age in place in a community setting as opposed to seeking institutionalized long-term care.
