AN ACT CONCERNING OUTSOURCING CERTAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to require that the Commissioner of Children and Families transfer to private, nonprofit community-based providers all responsibilities related to quality improvement, training, research and program outcomes.
Statement of Purpose:
To achieve cost savings and inject impartiality into the review process at the Department of Children and Families.
