AN ACT CONCERNING THE DELIVERY OF PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES BY THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Children and Families to transfer to private, community-based providers all responsibilities related to psychiatric care of children and families served by the Department of Children and Families.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve quality of care and achieve cost savings in the delivery of psychiatric care to clients of the Department of Children and Families.
