AN ACT CONCERNING AN EXPANSION OF THE TUITION WAIVER FOR DEPENDENT CHILDREN OF FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 10a-77, 10a-99 and 10a-105 of the general statutes be amended to require the board of trustees of the regional community-technical colleges, the Connecticut State University System and The University of Connecticut to expand the tuition waiver for dependent children of firefighters and police officers killed in the line of duty to include a waiver of the payment of room and board.

Statement of Purpose:

To expand the tuition waiver for dependent children of firefighters and police officers killed in the line of duty to include expenses for room and board.
