AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF PRICE OPTIMIZATION BY AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE COMPANIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit automobile insurance companies from using price optimization to set private passenger nonfleet automobile insurance rates or increase such rates without cause, and to require any such company that is determined to have used price optimization to set an insured's rate to provide a rebate to such insured.
