AN ACT PROHIBITING THE REFUSAL OF MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT TO HOME-CARE PROVIDERS WHO DO NOT USE A STATE CONTRACTOR FOR ELECTRONIC VISIT VERIFICATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Social Services from refusing to provide Medicaid reimbursement to home-care providers who do not use a state contractor for electronic visit verification, provided such provider utilizes a system that meets federal requirements.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce costly and inefficient administrative burdens on home-care providers.
