AN ACT CONCERNING CARE FOR ELDERLY PERSONS IN A HOME SETTING RATHER THAN A HEALTH CARE FACILITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 368v of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Public Health to develop a plan to ensure that, on and after December 31, 2015, not less than seventy-five per cent of elderly persons who require long-term care receive such care in a home setting rather than a nursing home facility.
Statement of Purpose:
To promote aging in place by developing a plan to ensure seventy-five per cent of elderly persons requiring long-term care receive such care in a home setting by the end of 2015.
