AN ACT INCREASING DISCLOSURE OF INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 155 of the general statutes be amended to (1) decrease the amount at which (A) a person who makes an independent expenditure shall disclose the amount of such independent expenditure in filed statements with the State Elections Enforcement Commission, and (B) any such person who receives a covered transfer shall disclose the amount and source of such covered transfer in filed statements with such commission, and (2) redefine "covered transfer" to increase the number of transfers of funds prior to the making of an independent expenditure that shall be disclosed in filed statements with such commission.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase disclosure of funds used in making independent expenditures.
